Well, I will only use Scripture to ask this...
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17 KJB
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: - 2Timothy 3:16 KJB
Matthew was inspired to write this...
Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. - Matthew 11:11 KJB
Luke was inspired to write this...
For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. - Luke 7:28 KJB
Matthew -kingdom of heaven Luke - kingdom of God Exact same incident of preaching by Christ
Did not the Holy Spirit intend the two phrases to mean exactly the same thing, in those two verses covering a single preaching of Christ?
I believe John 17:17 & 2 Timothy 3:16 say He did.

I would like to ask about this... From the screaming - WESTBORO BAPTIST(s)
As I see it, most may see a contradiction between John 3:16 For God so loved the world... & Psalm 5:5 - The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Doesn't benevolence (a definition of love) solve the seeming contradiction? That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. - Matthew 5:45 KJB Judas Iscariot was an evil wicked man, Jesus said he was a thief among them, and a devil. Psalm 5:5 says God hated Judas, yet on the day he would betray Christ Judas awoke with air in his lungs, food to eat, and water to drink, all due to God's benevolence towards Judas. After he betrayed Christ, God removed His benevolence, and Judas went to "his own place" Paraphrasing John 3:16, God was so benevolent to the world, He gave His only begotten Son... Just for perspective... He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. - John 3:36 KJB Doesn't God's benevolence abide on that unbeliever as well as His wrath, til God removes His benevolence? P.S. I am in no way agreeing with anything about the Screaming Westboro's I just read that on this site... dorightchristians.wordpress.com/category/the-do-right-cults/and thought I'd ask this

Hello, I'm Craig I have no letters before or after my name, I'm no Church leader.
But I do have 5 Points, or Pillars, if you will...
1. for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. - Psalm 138:2 KJB 2. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. - John 1:1 KJB 3. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. - Hebrews 4:12 KJB 4. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth - John 16:13 KJB 5. yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written - Romans 3:4 KJB
Unlike TULIP my points are found in God's Holy Word
They compliment, even verify, each other
1. How God views His Word. 2. He calls His Son the Word 3. His word is alive 4. His Word comes alive when it's read with the Author as Teacher. 5. How God views men who do not view His Word as He does
Let's say we were explaining God to a child, we tell the child He is Omnipotent, all powerful, Omnipresent, everywhere at any given time, Omniscient, all knowing, He knows the end from the beginning, He knows everything that will happen in the future...
The child may reply, "cuz He makes them happen"!
We would explain, yes He will cause certain things to happen, but also, the Bible tells us He knows our thoughts and actions, He knew them from before the world was created.
He doesn't make us think our thoughts, nor does He make us do the things we do, but He knows these things before we do them.
The point is that to say God KNOWS future events because He CAUSES all future events is utterly childish. And completely contrary to His Word.
When that statement comes from one that is not a child, particularly from an adult that claims to be a Christian, it becomes evil, wicked, mean and nasty.
It makes God the cause of sin.
And it calls God a liar, see point 5, above.
The one creature that loves to call God a liar, and would like to make men think He is the author of all sin is Satan.
And Satan found fertile ground in the mind of Calvin.
And anyone that would agree with Calvin, and his father Satan.
What I'm wondering is why are 'Calvinists' not treated as the heretics they are?
Calling God a liar, and making Him the author of sin is not CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE is it?
Do Christians do those things?
Then why don't these Biblical principles apply to them?...
A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject - Titus 3:10 KJB
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. - 2John 1:10 & 11
In The DARK SIDE of CALVINISM
GEORGE L. BRYSON says on page 16,
I do not consider Calvinists to be the enemy.
Well, ok, but God considers those that call Him a liar, and those that say HE is the author of all sin His enemies, does He Not?
Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. - Psalm 139:21 & 22 KJB
Now ya know why I'm no Church leader, 'eh?
LOL
