My brother in law, Dr. Elisha Weismann sent me an interesting observation about "Dr Bob". Dr. Bob Griffin is an associate pastor of "Sovereign Grace Church" in Wyoming, and an administrator of the Baptist Board forums. On his church's website, they have the following invitation, "HOW WILL YOU RESPOND? Who does the Bible say Jesus is? The living God, the Holy One, the Savior, the only valid object of saving faith, the sovereign Lord, and the righteous Judge. Who do you say Jesus is? That is the inescapable question. He alone can redeem you--free you from the power and penalty of sin. He alone can transform you, restore you to fellowship with God, and give your life eternal purpose. Will you repent and believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?" www.gty.org/Resources/Articles/A335Now granted, I AGREE with this statement somewhat, but it is grossly hypocritical for professing Christians to use evangelistic tools that THEY DON'T BELIEVE IN. No honest Calvinist who is consistent with their theology believes that God loves sinners, or that they can repent without being regenerated first by an effectual calling of irresistible grace. No honest Calvinist believes in the statement made by this church where they appeal to the will of the read, notice: "WILL YOU repent and believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior". It is appalling that Calvinists use the language of fundamental non Calvinist Baptists to draw membership when they don't truly believe in what they are saying. *I just noticed the link was to John Macarthur's website. The link is a re-direct link from Dr Bob's church at sovereigngracechurch.com/?page_id=17

That link is on the right side of Dr. Bob's church site, the last one of the right at the top. It's not their link but it's still what they subscribe to.

Its interesting for sure. One of John R Rices books "Predestined to Hell?" one of his major premises that we have also noted comes down to that no Honest Calvinist could truly say anyone is saved. There is no assurance, only hope to be elect.
